Four Skeletons and a Function
نویسندگان
چکیده
Four algorithmic skeletons for low-level image processing and intermediate-level computer vision are presented, related to a common divide and conquer higher order function. The parallel operation of each skeleton is described and their use in a complete parallel multisource image segmentation system is discussed.

Bioaccumulation of Heavy Metals (Pb, Fe & Zn) in the Tissues of Skeletal Coral family, Faviidae and Surrounding Sediments in the South of Qeshm Island-The Persian Gulf
The following research was conducted to study the concentration of Pb, Fe & Zn in skeletons and sediments of dominant hard coral family (Faviidae) in Zeyton Park, Naz Islands and Shib-deraz stations, South of Qeshm Island. The analysis of these heavy metals in digested samples of skeletons and sediments was done using graphite furnace Atomic Absorbtion Spectophotometry for measuring the levels ...
متن کاملForamen Tympanicum or Foramen of Huschke: A Bioarchaeological Study on Human Skeletons from an Iron Age Cemetery at Tabriz Kabud Mosque Zone
The foramen tympanicum is an anatomical variation that is created in the tympanic plate of temporal bone during the first year of life. The tympanic plate grows and foramen tympanicum is gradually closed by about the fifth postnatal year. However, due to a defect in normal ossification, foramen tympanicum sporadically remains throughout life. The construction of a shopping center in Tabriz, nor...
متن کاملA Survey of Cost Models for Algorithmic Skeletons
This report presents a survey of performance models for parallel al-gorithmic skeletons. First, higher-order functions (HOFs) are presented according to the modelled skeletons. Next, the corresponding parallel implementations (skeletons) for the HOFs are discussed with the performance models that were constructed for the skeletons.
متن کاملParallel Genetic Algorithm Using Algorithmic Skeleton
Algorithmic skeleton has received attention as an efficient method of parallel programming in recent years. Using the method, the programmer can implement parallel programs easily. In this study, a set of efficient algorithmic skeletons is introduced for use in implementing parallel genetic algorithm (PGA).A performance modelis derived for each skeleton that makes the comparison of skeletons po...
متن کاملAutonomous mobility skeletons
To manage load on large and dynamic networks we have developed Autonomous Mobile Programs (AMPs) that periodically use a cost model to decide where to execute. A disadvantage of directly programming AMPs is that the cost model, mobility decision function, and network interrogation are all explicit in the program. This paper proposes autonomous mobility skeletons that encapsulate self-aware mobi...
